A couple of weeks ago Mercedes, Dmitri, Teo and I spent an afternoon walking around this place, mystified and overwhelmed, by the fact that humans started to inhabit this place more than 3,500 years ago.
The Castro of St. Lawrence has its roots in the beginning of the 1st millennium BC (Late Bronze Age).
The settlement itself was born between the 5th and 8th centuries BC
characterized by buildings fully made of perishable materials and whose post holes subsisted on the clay floors.
Between the 5th and 2nd centuries BC this settlement had an architecture based on small sized buildings entirely made of stone and that were coverage with perishable materials.
Located near Vila Chã (near Esposende), it is worth a visit (maybe several).
